I’m always searching for a good flavored black tea. All too often with black tea blends the flavor is too subtle to really come through. I’ve also had black tea blends that had more pronounced flavor that didn’t really work well with the tea itself, thus leaving me with more of an undesired aftertaste than anything else.
This tea was a birthday gift to me, along with several Numi White flavored teas (all of which are very good). Being the only black tea in the bunch, it stood out while still giving off the smooth, almost delicate notes of the white tea. Though light for a black tea, this tea doesn’t skimp on flavor. The strawberry is apparent and pleasant, and its bright without being too tart. The aroma is slightly fruity, producing an uplifting scent. Another plus, being that I love the aesthetics of tea, is that this one brews up a beautiful ruby-hued cup. I recommend this cup to anyone that wants to try something different. Its a refreshing cup of tea that has renewed my interest in black tea blends.
