I'm a big fan of pomegranates, but I don't know that I've ever yet had a pomegranate-flavored tea that actually hit the mark. Pomegranate is one of those flavors that can easily monopolize the tastebuds, so its a delicate balancing act - too much, and you're getting nothing but tangy flavor. Too little, and you might as well be drinking straight tea. In the case of Ceylon Teas' Pomegranate White Tea, its the latter. I definitely get the tiniest hint of pomegranate flavor in there, but even on a second test, with an eight-minute brew time, its barely distinguishable. (Heck, I even broke my usual no-sugar policy, just to see if I could coax SOME flavor out of it - but it just wasn't meant to be). Not a repurchase for me.Ceylon Teas is a California-based company that's been in the tea business since 1994. They seem to gear their products more towards the gift-market (to be included in gift baskets and that sort of thing). They offer a variety of herbal, white, green, oolong, black and organic tea blends on their web site, though oddly enough I was unable to find White Pomegranate there. It may be discontinued, or available only in certain markets. (Mine came in a three-canister gift pack of white tea, peach/apricot, and pomegranate).
