After reading much about the numerous health benefits of green teas, I have spent quite a substantial amount of time (and money) searching for a green tea that I enjoyed enough to drink several cups of a day. So far, I am still searching. So, with cautious optimism, I opened my container of Adagio’s Citron Green and gave it a quick test. It smells very light and pleasant; not exactly a floral aroma, but I wouldn’t exactly say citrus either.
The brew was very clear, pale, almost yellow. Upon my first taste, I didn’t actually care for it much at all. But I found that I actually enjoyed it more the cooler it became. This led me to decide that the next time I try it I will actually drink it as an iced tea. The flavor intensity is initially very light. After I swallowed, I noticed not what I would call an after taste, but more of an after bite on my tongue.
To me, this was a decent green tea. I didn’t have the feeling that I had brewed up a cup of grass and was trying to drink it. I don’t think it is something that I will feel compelled to purchase again. So, my search for my perfect Green Tea continues.
