Its OK"This starts out almost floral with some sweetness, followed by a nutty taste... reminiscent of a genmaicha, but compared to other Ti Kuan Yin's out there this isn't anything special."

adagio-ti-kuan-yin-trio.jpgI have had some really good Ti Kuan Yin variety oolongs. This was an interesting one to try because it was very different than my current oolong. I think the name “Ti Kuan Yin Trio” is perfect because at times I thought I was drinking three different teas. It started out almost floral with some sweetness followed by a nutty taste and than mellowed out to a flavor that is very close to genmaicha. It sure was interesting, but I didn’t find it all that enjoyable for being labeled a Ti Kuan Yin which I’ve grown to love so much.

This isn’t what you would expect in an oolong much at all but it is what it is and a decent basic tea. I would not purchase this tea though, there are far better oolongs out there more reasonably priced than the “Ti Kuan Yin Trio” from Adagio teas.
