dragon-pearl-green.jpgThe Mao Feng green tea from Dragon Pearl was something I was looking forward to trying after having good results with their oolong tea. The loose leaf before brewing is a darker green and almost looks like there are little specks of silver throughout. Brewing the tea I was really taken by how wonderful of a nutty aroma this tea had, so much so it reminded me of peanuts. The flavor however is subtle compared to a lot of green teas I have had and had to let the tea cool down before I could taste it well enough. Subtle flavor, yet a nice full flavor at the same time that carries a nice aftertaste. I also find it a very light cup and perhaps it would be best as a dessert tea or after a meal. It’s something worth a taste for sure, but will most likely just be a short stop on your journey through the world of tea.
