"Naturally sweet and delicious... with a soft, licorice aftertaste. "
|
It is a very calming tea which I found out while reading up on the medicinal qualities of the tea in Africa. This tea has wonderful health benefits for you and if you would like to look them up then I have included a link that you can read up on it with!
The leaves look very dark, almost the color of tobacco. The tea has no bitterness really, it’s a dark amber color. It has a very sweet candy like qualities that you would normally not find in most teas. I cant find any bad qualities about this tea really. Plus this tea has a great licorice-like after taste. Although it lacks the deep aromas of some herbal teas, the taste is very good.
The one thing to remember while brewing this tea is to let it steep for a long time! I let it steep for 8 minutes then I tried 9 and then once at 10 and I think that it was much better at 9 minutes. Use a very full heaping teaspoon of leaves for the brew as well.
Well I really enjoyed this tea, there is not much to write about seeing how it is such a subtle tea, although it is very delicious. I think that this is the Mecca of teas for candy lovers! Very sweet and very nice! A definite recommendation for anyone who likes sweets.
