This evening I tasted a Kenyan tea—SpecialTeas’ Kenya GFBOP1 from the Millma Estate. It is a tea with a rich amber color. The taste is best described as light, with a mild fruitiness and a hint of woodiness and spice. The aroma and flavor is very subtle when brewed at four minutes, with very little body. Still, it is an enjoyable tea, suitable for afternoon, but definitely not strong enough for the morning, especially if you are accustomed to milk and/or sugar with your breakfast brew. I would describe the taste as pleasant, but not particularly special in any way—the taste was a bit too subtle for me to appreciate, and I have sampled many other teas whose subtleness I thought more interesting, though some of these were for a higher price. I can’t see ordering a supply of this tea for myself, given the many other more interesting choices (to my tastes) out there, but if you like a light, unremarkable yet inoffensive taste, it might be worth a try.
