After my disappointing experience with Republic of Tea (Spring Cherry), I decided to try another one of their teas. I really like breakfast teas; I like the strong flavor, the rich aroma, the jolt they give me, and the experience of starting my day with one. So, I selected “All Day Breakfast”.
This tea has a very nice aroma. Very rich and robust, almost like a coffee, but with the unmistakable scent of tea. I probably used too much tea, but I like a strong drink in the morning. Regardless, this tea had a strong aroma that made me impatient for it to cool down enough to try.
Of course, with that high of expectations, the tea could not live up to it. It is strong, and has a nice traditional black tea taste, with a hint of a coffee taste. Although I do not like coffee, this gives it a very full-flavored, robust taste. It leaves an aftertaste throughout the entire mouth, but dominates in the middle of the tongue and is somewhat sticky, slightly bitter. All in all, this is not a bad tea. Certainly not my favorite breakfast blend, but a respectable tea.
