"The gunpowder tea takes center stage in this blend, adding a smoky, almost tobacco-like, taste to the brew. The mint is there but is less strong than in most other blends."

The leaves themselves smell strongly of mint, as one would expect. The aroma of the brewed tea is actually slightly smoky; an almost tobacco-like aroma that - thankfully - doesn’t make an appearance on the tongue. The taste is clean with a hint of natural sweetness. The mint flavor is there but a lot more subdued than you’d expect. This is a particularly well-blended mint tea, and I very much enjoyed it. My only complaint would be the tobacco-like aroma which is a bit of a turn off, even if it doesn’t actually transfer to the taste, but fans of gunpowder teas will likely be expecting that sort of thing.
