Thumbs up!"Very smooth... the spices are blended nicely and they enhance the subtle cocoa flavor. This would make a great desert tea."

“Full-leaf black tea with a decadent blend of cocoa bits, cardamom pods and cinnamon. Smooth and delicious.”

I’ve been looking forward to trying a chocolate tea. However, I was concerned when I read that this tea tasted like a chocolate-chai because I have not enjoyed the few chai teas I have tried. I was worried that this would keep me from truly liking this tea. Fortunately, that was not the case. It is a black tea with cinnamon, cocoa kernels and cardamom (ginger). Out of the package, the blend has a spicy, almost biting smell to it. Once brewed, the bite is gone and an inviting aroma of cinnamon and cardamom dominates.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this tea. The taste is very smooth with nothing sharp or biting about it. The spices are blended nicely and they enhance the subtle cocoa flavor. The aftertaste is smooth and clean with just a hint of spice lingering. This would make a nice desert tea. I can imagine having a cup in front of a fire on a cold night or with dessert after a meal. I also see myself having a cup for an afternoon treat. I hope other chocolate teas are as nice.
