I was excited to try this tea from the start, but after smelling it my excitement increased all the more. It smells appropriately rich, like coffee and chocolate. After brewing, the chocolate disappears and you’re left with a mild coffee scent.
I must say, after smelling this blend, I had high hopes for it. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. It tastes flat somehow. It feels much too thin and provides only watery chocolate flavor. This tea lacks complexity. One good thing I can say about it is, it has a mildly sweet undertone that lingers for a bit on your tongue after you swallow.
For any flavor while you’re actually drinking it, you have to try to taste it, unless you take very small sips, keeping it in your mouth for a few moments.
All in all, this tea is pretty devoid of flavor. It smells great, but it doesn’t matter if that doesn’t translate to your cup. This is another tea that contains dairy, though even if it didn’t I wouldn’t repurchase. It’s just too bland for me.
