I have mixed feelings about Stash. I have tried a few of their teas and find them to generally be good teas. I have not come across one that I love and only two that I don’t like. Stash’s bagged English Breakfast is a good tea, with a traditional flavor that will always satisfy. According to Stash, English Breakfast includes “bright Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka, malty Assam and smooth Nilgiri teas from India and full bodied Keemun from China”.
One of my doubts about Stash is the traditional look of their tea and teabags. They really don’t look very different from Lipton or any other basic tea. I have not tried their loose teas, so I can not speak to the difference. With that said, Stash certainly does not have the aroma of a Lipton. It has the rich, robust aroma that makes a breakfast tea so inviting, building the anticipation as you wait for it to cool.
It is a full-flavored breakfast tea that satisfies and gets your morning going. It is hard to describe the taste other than as ‘weak - traditional’. It is not as rich as other breakfast blends I tried and has a texture that reminds me of low-fat milk. It might make a good choice for someone who does not like a strong tea. This is very much a classic breakfast blend that you can drink every morning. However, for me, it is not as strong as I like, but I do intend to try the loose leaf version to see the difference.
