"One of the best vanilla teas I've tried so far... a definite repurchase for me."
|
I love vanilla flavored teas. Adagio’s Vanilla Green is one of the best vanilla based teas that I have tried so far. The subtle leafy taste of the green tea is a perfect companion to the creaminess that is added by the vanilla flavor.
When you first open the tin, you are greeted by a powerful, yet not overwhelming, scent of vanilla. This is a welcome smell if you love vanilla as much as I do! The leaves are a fresh tint of green. One teaspoon per 6oz of boiling water seems to be the right proportion to produce a delicious cup of tea. The tin suggests that the tea be brewed for 3 minutes, but I have found that it is best if brewed for less (about 2 minutes). The color of the brew is a pleasant light leafy green. The aroma that it gives off while brewing is amazing!
While Adagio’s green tea is delicious without any sweetener, I enjoy this tea with a little sugar to bring out the vanilla flavor. It is one of the creamiest teas I have tried. Each sip has a distinct vanilla taste while not completely disguising the subtle green tea freshness. Each cup leaves me full of warm delightfulness. The leaves are good for a second brew (though not nearly as aromatic as the first). This tea always leaves me excitedly waiting for the next time a get to have a cup of it!
I definitely recommend this tea to any vanilla lover. If you like green tea, but aren’t sure about the vanilla, it is worth a try. Unlike many black vanilla teas, this tea has no bitter aftertaste. This tea makes an excellent dessert tea as well as a wonderful “just sip and relax” tea. Over all, it is one of the best vanilla teas that I have tried so far. I will definitely be getting more of it!
