Thumbs up!"Earthy and smoky, with a hint of light sweetness from the bergamot flavoring... not a must-have tea, but certainly worth trying if its on offer."

archer-farms-logo.jpgI never thought I would be going to the Target website to look at tea. Shoes and earrings, these I expect to be looking for at Target and on their website, good tea comes as a surprise from them. I would not call myself an Earl Grey aficionado but I do find myself going through seasons where I cannot get enough of it. That being said, this is not an Earl Grey that I would find myself longing for but would not turn down an offered cup. Smoky is the word that stands out to me as I taste this tea. It has an earthy scent that translates into a smoky taste with a faint lingering sweetness from the hint of oil of Bergamot that just barely makes its presence known in the blend.

I think this blend would be a good introduction to the world of Earl Greys for those who like strong black teas but are unsure about the Bergamot flavoring, but true Earl Grey connoisseurs will most likely find it unremarkable. But as a good strong tea with a light sweet finish it is a good tea.
