Review: Dragon Pearl Mountain Jasmine Dragon Pearl
Dragon Pearl, Green Tea, Jasmine Tea Add comments"One of the better jasmine teas I've tried... the jasmine flavor doesn't overpower the green tea, which is a nice change of pace."

Usually I’m not too big on flowery scented or flavored teas like jasmine teas. They tend to be overpowering and just taste like your drinking old lady perfume. The Mountain Jasmine Dragon Pearl from Dragon Pearl teas is described as
“Without question our most popular tea variety, this natural jasmine dragon pearl green tea is the finest available. These organic pearls are made with two baby green tea leaves rolled together and cured with real jasmine blossoms. If you like dragon pearl green tea, you’ll be amazed at our quality: this is the freshest, highest-quality jasmine pearl you will ever taste.”
The pearls are a nice size and usually with them you do not need a lot because they unfurl and almost fill the teapot. Brewing this tea the leaves turn into a nice bright yellow-green color and the tea doesn’t get much color except for maybe a hint. The taste is actually not so overpowering and you can taste the tea itself, which is not easy with jasmine tea because that becomes the dominant flavor. You can easily get at least two good infusions out of this tea and I would recommend letting your water cool just a little bit before you pour it over the pearls. Lower water temperature usually brings out a mellower and sweet flavor from teas like this. This is a good tea but not my favorite from them. As far as jasmine pearl tea goes this one is my favorite one because you can actually taste the tea along with the jasmine and it was light and refreshing. I wouldn’t drink a jasmine tea very often but this is the one I would turn to.
