Lea’s Teaview Snapshot

I was really excited to try this tea, as I've never had a watermelon green before. I opened the bag and was hit with a wonderfully fruity/sweet aroma. It was strong and promising.I brewed it up for three minutes the first time, and took a sip. It was awful. It was so bitter I couldn't taste any watermelon flavor at all, which surprised me because the aroma was so great. I figured I brewed it too long and tried again, this time leaving it to steep for one minute.
It was better, but still a little bitter. The bitterness also still seems to be masking the watermelon flavor. Compared to the scent of this tea, the fruit flavor is scarce. The combination of these two factors really make it hard to enjoy the tea. If the flavor of the green tea was better, this blend would be much better overall, and I would probably be alright with the barely there fruity notes.
I will say this tea isn't terrible, and I'll probably finish what's left in my cupboard (I hate to see tea go to waste). Once that's gone, I won't be revisiting this tea.
