I love spicy teas; this reminds me of an herbal citrus chai, with an extra spicy kick. Normally Licorice scares me, you would never find me in licorice section of the candy store, but I am learning that it can be a nice addition to tea. That being said the licorice smell this tea puts off had me a little scared, but the scary overpowering licorice scent did not translate to overpowering licorice taste. The color of this brew also scared me a little, it reminded me of the iced Lipton green teas my dad has been drinking lately, thankfully the taste is nothing like what he has been drinking.
This tea is a perfectly balanced blend of sweet and savory, the licorice, cocoa, and citrus ingredients work well together to balance out the pepper and cayenne. I will definitely being buying this tea.
