Linsey Manning at www.thenecessiteas.com is running a neat litlte contest, and I thought I’d post something about it here. She’s asking tea enthusiasts to send her their “unique ideas” for new blends, using any teas or generally available ingredients - black, green, oolong or white teas, rooibos, fruits, herbs and any flavors you can think of. She’ll go through every suggestion and experiment with those she thinks have the most potential, and finally decide on a new winning blend that will then be made available for purchase directly from her company web site. The person who suggests the winning blend will win a complete tin of their tea.
Ok, so there’s no million-dollar prize here, but I thought this deserved mention simply because I’ve just been so darned impressed with Linsey’s teas. My personal favorites include her carrot cake blend, strawberry cheesecake, orange flower and, of course, the belgian mint truffle.
