"The ideal dessert blend, chock full of sweet and spicy flavors that are just perfectly blended. An absolute must-purchase."

Zhi Tea's Sweet Desert Delight is an all-around fantastic blend, from beginning to end. This tea is an organic rooibos-based blend that combines cinnamon, cacao nibs, anise pods, coconut, stevia leaf, and safflower. The scent of this tea is nothing short of heavenly, and the flavor delivers exactly what the aroma promises. The result is a tea that is delightfully sweet and ridiculously tasty. This tea brewed up to a rich and creamy liquid which actually had some substance to it, as opposed to the dilute, watery sensations that most rooibos teas offer. By far, the most noticeable ingredient in this blend is the cinnamon, although it is not a harsh cinnamon flavor that prevents all of the other ingredients from having their moment to shine. Zhi Tea managed to add anise to this blend in a way that it did not overpower all the other ingredients, a feat which experience has taught me is not easy to do. The anise offered just a hint of characteristic flavor to help finish off the sip. With all of the wonderful sweet and spicy flavors in this cup, its almost hard to even detect the rooibos base. This tea was sweet enough that I did not feel the need to add any sugar to it. On my second cup, I added just a splash of milk, and found that instantly all was well in the world. Seriously, this tea is that good! Being caffeine-free and sweetly flavored, this tea is the ideal dessert blend. Furthermore, while other teas I have reviewed as good dessert teas could serve as a good companion to a dessert dish, this tea is so flavorful and hearty, that it can actually stand on its own as the dessert. I think that Zhi Tea's Sweet Desert Delight tea could curb cravings for even the biggest sweet-tooth.Being a stickler for proper spelling and grammar, my main (and only) issue with this tea is the potential misspelling of the name... should it be "Sweet dessert delight" or "Sweet desert delight"? With the pun "This is truly an oasis for the senses" included in Zhi Tea's online description of this blend and the inclusion of desert-growing ingredients like anise and coconut, one can only assume that the tea was intentionally named Sweet Desert Delight. However, the sweet and spicy ingredients are hardly reminiscent of a barren, uninspiring desert. I won't belabor the issue; I fully intend to purchase a healthy supply of this tea and to enjoy every sip, whether as a dessert tea or as a desert tea.

This sweet desert delight I got in the free friday deal as a free sample. I’t has roobios, cinnamon, cacao, coconut, and star anise. I have tried a couple of roobios teas.
And I now clearly realize that roobios I’s not for me and the smell I’s strong and offputting in this tea. And I got mostly the taste of the coconut. And I really don’t like coconut.
So this tea I’s not for me. I am sure though that people who like roobios and the strong taste of coconut will like this tea though. And I like the quality ingredients. AnI am sure going to try and buy their other teas when I have plenty of money.
