|"Simply the best Earl Grey I've tried to date... strong, refreshing and soothing... it hits all the right notes."|
The best thing about it is the taste, of course. The scent is strong and delightful, and the taste is just right. Not too strong where it becomes bitter. It's not so weak, either, that it just tastes like hot water with a touch of flavor. I don't know how to describe the general taste of earl grey. I know bergamot is a citrus and I can smell a fruity smell if I think of it. It doesn't taste fruity, though. It tastes more herbal to me; fresh green herbal with a slight floral undertone. There is no other flavor like it and Rishi tea has captured it to perfection.
I really enjoyed this tea so much that I drank three cups in a row and wanted more. It is also the first time I took loose tea with me to work to steep in my personal loose-tea mug (I'm afraid I'll leave it there or it will get broken). I just couldn't bear to leave the house without access to more of this deliciously refreshing and soothing tea.
The Rishi Tea website lists the flavors as bergamot and two types of black tea. So simple, yet their formula reigns “supremeâ€Â. I thought it would be impossible to top Bigelow Earl Grey, but I was wrong. This is definitely the best Earl Grey I've ever had. Thanks to Teaviews for introducing it to me!
