From the moment I opened the bag, it smelled like heaven. I compare it with opening a can of orange pop; it has a sweet candy like aroma. There are literally chunks of orange peel mixed in with the long, fragrant tea leaves. After steeping it with my ingenuitea mug, the tea itself is a beautiful amber color. And the aroma! Just like someone picked an orange and dipped it in fresh vanilla. My mouth was watering but I had to wait for it to cool.
The first sip was much more exotic than I expected. I imagined straight orange-vanilla, which I’ve had before, but this was something more. Something more… fancy, for lack of a better word. I browsed the Mighty Leaf website and discovered that it contains jasmine! Not only that, but bergamot! I love orange tea. I love vanilla tea. I love jasmine tea. And yes, I love Earl Grey tea. Add them all together and wow! Just like someone melted an orange creamsicle into my tea.
What a special treat. That’s what orange dulce will be for me because it’s not an everyday tea. It’s a special occasion tea that I will definitely order. Now onto their pear caramel signature blend tea…
