"Fresh-tasting and subtle, with a unique nutty-flavor that I really enjoyed. I would recommend this blend."

Tea Zone explains on their website that peony white tea leaves are picked from a tea bush called Narcissus bushes. The leaves are allowed to naturally dry in the sun, rather than being steamed or pan-fired. Only special ‘two leaves and a bud’ are selected. These leaves must have a very light green almost white color and be covered with fuzzy down. White tea is touted for its many health benefits, including cancer fighting properties.
The leaves had a fresh scent and the signature silvery down was easily visible. I brewed this tea using my Zarafina tea suite, set to strong white. The color of the tea was slightly darker than any other white teas that I have had. I found this tea to be enjoyable but different in taste from silver needle white teas. It wasn’t as subtle and the flavor was nuttier but still smooth and refreshing. The nutty taste became even more apparent with the second infusion. I would definitely recommend this tea and I might just purchase it for my own collection.
