"I love lemongrass, but here, without any accompaniment, it tastes just like Lemon Pledge. Perhaps this is a flavor that works best in teams."

I love lemongrass in food for adding a bit more complexity with its herbaceous green freshness to an otherwise plain lemon flavor but here it’s straight Pledge. I was inclined to love this and was impressed with the evenly cut, young-looking shoots of lemongrass that was very appealing in the pot. The springtime yellow color is also lovely, but I can’t seem to get past the poor association. I’ve noticed that other lemongrass teas are a mix a various flavors and now I see why; perhaps this is a flavor that works best in teams.

Oh no lemon pledge! We love the purity of this blend and it is really popular with lemon tea drinkers. People seem to love the natural lemon taste rather than a flavoured lemon tea. We do have a blend of lemongrass with ginger, lavender and elderflower for those who want to try a lemongrass blend. http://www.teapigs.co.uk/product/tea/Herbal-tea/summer+flowers
