The only information that is provided about this tea from their website is:
“Produced from broken leaves, this Earl Grey brews up a more robust taste. It is perfect for those who like Earl Grey with milk.”
Opening the package of the teabag you are greeted with an amazing bergamot aroma. I used boiling water and steeped this bag for about 4 minutes. The end result is a very orange colored tea. The bergamot and citric aromas are in the smell but not too strong, and you can smell the tea which is definitely an Indian tea. I am not too fond of the taste of this one. The couple of Earl Grey teas I recently tried were sweet almost due to the added bergamot, but this one was not the case. At first I thought maybe I had over brewed it, even though they recommend 3-5 minutes. In fact what I can taste of the actually tea is quite good; it’s the bergamot in this tea that ruins it. It tastes very chemically and unnatural, not necessarily like a perfume quality like bad jasmine teas have but definitely something of the sort.
Earl Grey is something that I’m just learning to appreciate, after having tried a couple really amazing ones. This one is not the best, but I can imagine there are plenty worse attempts at this historical tea. Perhaps this tea would go good with some milk… of course being somewhat of a purist, I drank it straight.

I agree with what you have to say about Earl Grey teas in general. Bergamot is a flavor that can be very good and very bad. Sometimes it can be hard to find just the right blend!
