"A lovely and lush tea that would be great to give a non-tea drinker or someone interested in flavored green teas"

Ah, the aroma of fresh and tart pineapple. This tea didn’t smell like tea at all, more like pineapple juice. So one would imagine the taste to be the same; tart and sickeningly sweet. That is not the case here. It is purely a smooth and refreshing pineapple-y drink minus the sticky sweet and slightly sour bite of the fresh fruit itself. Mighty Leaf has captured a wonderful tropical experience in this blend.
The taste is very creamy. The pineapple taste is there, but it is a component of the tea rather than a dominating factor like the aroma suggests. The green tea base is not at all vegetal or bitter. It seems to be a smoother and sweeter green tea that blends perfectly with the pineapple and other flavors.
On the Mighty Leaf website, the ingredients listed for green tea tropical are disappointingly vague. Of course pineapple is listed, that is obvious practically before the package is opened. Besides the green tea base, the ingredients simply say: “natural tropical flavors, “natural flavors”, “flower petals”, “pineapple bits”. What natural flavors are these? I conclude the overall flavor is somewhat strawberry/coconut/pineapple - totally tropical and delicious. Interestingly, it tastes similar to Mighty Leaf’s Aloe Serenity green tea but this one wins the taste test in my book.
The dry tea is quite beautiful with lots of color swirling around including something blue. I will attribute that to a “flower petal”.
It makes me think of sipping a tropical drink from a coconut while gazing over a rainforest. Then I remember that I’m drinking tea and that’s even better.
Altogether, it is a lovely and lush tea that would be great to give a non-tea drinker or someone interested in flavored green teas. Also, for one who loves pineapple like me, this would be a great gift. This will be in my green tea rotation from now on.

WOW! This tea sounds absolutely delicious! The dry visual is quite pretty and there is something to be said about a great aroma. I wonder if the blue petals come from cornflowers? (Yep, I concur… vague ingredient lists are for the birds! I like to know what’s in my tea. Sometimes it helps to better identify and seperate flavors.)

It is really good. Like a tropical escape in a cup! The blue petals are probably cornflowers, I agree, but who knows? More specific ingredients, please!!!
