Apple seems to be a flavor that is not easily pulled off when it comes to tea and to be honest the only good apple tea I have tried is the Sweet Apple from Specialteas, which ironically contains no tea at all but does contain real apples.
This is a green tea, though the leaves look much closer to a black tea. The aroma coming off the leaves reminds me of the smell of candy; although there is a fake “apple-scented-soap” quality that I have seen with other apple flavored teas. One thing I can say about this tea is that you will need to brew it with your water at a lower temperature or you’ll end up getting a bitter cup and the apple flavor will become completely bitter. When I brewed mine with less than boiling water for 2 minutes it came out pretty decent although still nothing to be excited about.
I can’t blame Zoomdweebie’s for making a good attempt at a flavor in tea I know is not achieved easily. The green apple is there in aroma and flavor, but it is far from being something I could drink.
