Shelly’s Teaview Snapshot

With a name like that, one would expect an intense and explosive flavor. I braced myself for the inevitable boldness of this tea. It wasn't there. The website claims it to be very malty and robust. I guess malty is an adequate description. To me, it just tasted like any other black tea such as Lipton. It is of course extremely drinkable. I could easily drink this tea all day every day. It is a mild and satisfying black tea with no astringency or bitterness present. The maltiness the website claims is barely present, but probably contributes to the smoothness of this brew. The aroma is much like any other black tea, and nothing noteworthy hit my olfactory senses. The dry tea is interestingly tiny like little bits of soot. Neither powder like a teabag, nor large lush leaves. The one attribute of this tea I already mentioned but it is worth noting again: it is very gentle and relaxing. Perhaps radioactiviTEA is a misnomer.
I do like this blend very much, but it didn't astound me with its radioactive flavor. I feel the same way about this tea that I do SerendipiTea's Namaste. It's delicious and wonderful but easily duplicated with a box of Lipton or Tetley from the grocery store. I'm sorry to say, it's not worth the higher price unless you're physically in the shop and buying a cup of tea.
I would, however, purchase other flavors from Zoomdweebies to try in the future. They do have a lot of choices on their website.
