"Though this blend as a whole could be more flavorful, overall I really enjoyed ginger peach with the oolong tea."

This is my first venture into the world of Zhi tea, so I didn’t really know what to expect with this blend in regards to quality. As far as the flavor of tea, you see Ginger Peach everywhere, and for good reason: sweet peachy flavor pairs extremely well with rich, spicy ginger (though I’ve yet to find a blend with enough ginger punch for my taste). This tea differs from traditional ginger peach though, in that it’s an oolong base instead of a black tea base, which seems to be the most widely used for this flavor combination (for Ginger Peach lovers, I’d like to mention that Republic of Tea has a green tea base that is pretty decent, and a white tea base that I’ve been meaning to try, in addition to their black based blend). Zhi’s take on Ginger Peach brews up a peach-colored cup and smells faintly of ginger. The oolong tea itself is pleasant and mild, with no astringency or bitterness. The ginger is detectable, but I wish it were more abundant; more ginger would really kick up the flavor. The peach matches the ginger in strength and lends a sweet, desirable aftertaste to the tea.
Though this blend as a whole could be more flavorful, overall I really enjoyed ginger peach with the oolong tea. I’m sure this would be great and refreshing iced as well.
