Given five words to describe this tea, I would come to this conclusion:
Fruity Pebbles in a cup. This tea smells exquisite! I realize Fruity Pebbles are not exactly gourmet food, but I can’t disregard the obvious comparison. Fruity and candy-like is just what comes to mind.
I couldn’t find this particular tea on Tea Zone’s website. They have another type of Earl Grey, but not the cream variety. I don’t know what they used to infuse that cream-like flavor (vanilla?) but it is really a sugary blend. The black tea itself is of mediocre interest while drinking this tea. It provides a base and is fairly mild, but not out of this world.
Being a die-hard Earl Grey fan, I would not purchase it for the Earl Grey quality. The bergamot is present but not with the usual citrusy-spicy-fruity trait. The cream takes away that crisp edge and creates an extra sweet and extra fruity flavor. For that reason, I would buy this when in the mood for a sweeter tea, not an earl grey.
I also don’t consider this an every day morning tea. It is far too dessert-like to give you that robust caffeine kick upon waking up. This is better suited for drinking while eating cake or pie.
Basically, I feel like someone crushed Fruity Pebbles or Trix cereal and dumped into a mild black tea. It just doesn’t have that high-quality loose tea experience for me. It’s tasty but not what I expected from an Earl Grey.
