I was impressed with Teapigs before I even brewed this tea because the tea bags they use are of such high quality. They were pyramid bags made from a silky material, similar to the ones used by Mighty Leaf and a few other brands. The contents of the bag looked more like potpourri than tea. I could definitely see whole berries in the mix. The liquor was a deep shade of red that reminded me of Kool-Aide.
The taste was sweet without being overpowering and the aroma was just as nice. It had a nice aftertaste and went down smoothly without too much bitterness. It would make a great desert tea or even a breakfast tea for that matter. Teapigs claims this tea is a good pick-me-up but I found it rather relaxing. I would definitely recommend this tea.
