Teavana list the ingredients as including Green Rooibos, apples, pomegranate bits, cherry bits, lemongrass, cardamom, red rose petals and pomegranate flowers. The tea itself looked amazing, a colorful mix of different smells and textures. I brewed this tea using my Zarafina tea maker, set on strong rooibos. The brew was a golden yellow color and has a sweet aroma. When I first tried this tea, I did not like it at all. It tasted more like lemon water than the rich and flavorful tea that I was expecting. The odd thing was that I really couldnʼt taste anything until the tea had cooled to almost room temperature. The taste at that temperature was much more to my liking, but who likes a cup of luke warm tea? I usually love fruity teas as well as rooibos but I have to say that I wasnʼt a huge fan of this tea. It is possible that I got a bad batch or that it might have turned out better if I hadnʼt used a tea maker. The reviews that Iʼve read of this tea are usually good ones. However, I donʼt think I would try this tea again.

I’d actually say this is one of my favorite herbal blends from Teavana. However, I will confess that – due to it’s potent mixture – it is difficult to brew. Setting your kettle for “strong rooibos” might’ve been the way to go if it was just that…a strong roobios.
Since a lot of Teavana’s blends throw everything AND the kitchen sink in, you might have to just bite the bullet and bring the water to a full boil. Then let it steep for maybe six minutes. That’s what worked for me, and I count it as one of my faves.
My Rating:

9/10
