tropical_green.jpgI am somewhat odd in that even when it is in the 90's here in Florida, I still crave hot tea. So today, I found myself searching for something that sounded refreshing. Among my samples I found Tea Guys Tropical Green and it immediately seemed like it might be just what I was in the mood for. My other experiences with Tea Guys teas have been exceptional. The leaves themselves appear to be somewhat smaller pieces than found in some, but they are a bright green color and the aroma is absolutely divine! The addition of the cornflowers makes this a really beautiful tea to look at. I could see the fairly large pieces of pineapple and the somewhat smaller pieces of papaya, but the pineapple was the one making the statement in both the aroma and the brew itself. As a huge fan of pineapple, this was certainly a plus for me. The sweet and slightly tart flavor of the pineapple stays with you for quite awhile even after you finish the cup. I am now enjoying a cup from the 2nd infusion and it is just as satisfying as the first. Tea Guys states that this tea is good for multiple infusions, which is always a plus when justifying the cost.
While I have enjoyed mine as a refreshing hot beverage, I have no doubt that this one would make an excellent iced tea as well. I would recommend this tea very highly to anyone who enjoys a fresh tasting flavored green tea, especially when you are in the mood for something on the sweet side. Tea Guys notes that it is low in caffeine, making it an excellent choice for any time of the day or night..
