"After a few steeps with one tea, the bag still looks fresh, with no apparent lint or tearing."

I don't know if I'll be excommunicated for admitting this, but I've never tried a tea filter bag before now. They've always seemed easy enough, but I've always used mesh filters that I had to clean out. That method was fine, but limited my tea drinking to the home, or someplace with a sink. I could never really bring a variety of teas with me, without a huge cleaning and refilling process which was mainly a colossal hindrance when traveling. With these biodegradable tea bags, I can fill a number of them up with my favorite loose leaf tea, seal them in a Ziploc bag with a paper clip to make sure the tea doesn't spill out, and I can travel with the ease of tea bags with my beloved loose leaf teas. I feel like an idiot now for not using these sooner. After a few steeps with one tea, the bag still looks fresh, with no apparent lint or tearing. I was curious and did try to tear it (it does tear) but it looks like it would last a few more steeps just fine. A noteworthy aspect of these tea bag that I haven't noticed in others is the bottom of this expands to about two inches. So rather than having your tea cramped up in a little envelope, they can stretch out buck naked like they were kings and queens at a spa. The effect is more great flavor for your tea rather than the little bag. I'm getting some of these immediately.
