Tea is not chemistry. Scratch that, Tea is not complicated chemistry. Take a couple of teaspoons full of Tea leaves, add them to just boiled water, wait a couple of minutes, and boom, Tea! Not rocket science, more preschool science at best. So any blend who's description says that its best with something else is immediately suspect in my book. I don't usually take my tea with milk, sugar, or lemon. I take it hot, fast, and with gusto.Truth be told this tea does go best with milk. Morning Americano is a breakfast blend of several black teas and dried cocoa beans, the latter being the source of the quasi-Latin name. It wasn't a bad tea, it just seemed to be missing something. The black tea seems to be a pretty even mix of the usual breakfast blend black teas, mostly Indian, a little Kenyan, maybe some Ceylon, and you could definitely taste the Cocoa. I think the Cocoa was the downfall of this tea taken strait, it just seems to be missing something, but it took several attempts to figure out it was in fact milk. This tea is, as described by the manufacturer, "Best with milk" but good luck getting the amounts right. Here's a tip, start small.
I like Cocoa, I like Tea, I hate fractional mathematics, either put the amount of milk in the "steeping suggestions" or even out the flavor so you don't need it. I definitely wouldn't use any sugar, but if you get the milk/tea ratio right you end up with a rich black tea with a sort of hot-cocoa undercurrent.
