orange-blossom.jpgWhile I certainly enjoyed this tea, it wasn't an out-of-this world experience. After having enjoyed Blue Raven's Obsidian Spice so much, this was relatively so-so. I can't give it too low of a mark because it was good, it really was. This tea was drinkable and enjoyable but it lacked that wow factor that makes you want to run out and order it immediately.

I am a huge fan of oolong tea(s). I love the clean and mellow flavor that never seems to be astringent or off-putting. This tea was right in line with my normal feelings towards oolong. It also had an extra element that they call orange blossom. I'm not sure what the meaning of that was before I drank it. I wondered if it would be orange or more flowery like jasmine because of the “blossom” stipulation.

While brewing, it smelled almost like a creamy vanilla orange that made my mouth water. As with many teas (and coffees, may I add), the smell is much more than the flavor. So, not being an exception to that rule, what the tea tasted like in the end was neither citrus nor floral.

In fact, this tea was more or less a very average oolong with a fruitier aroma. So, as I stated before, it's yummy! However, it is also a tea that is easily outdone by other oolongs.
