sunner-romance.jpgIf you enjoy fruity teas, than TeaGschwendner's Summer Romance is a must. The first time I made this tea I wasn't impressed. I just added my tea to my infuser and poured boiling water into my pot, and let steep for around 5 minutes. I thought this tea was very weak, and had little flavor. The second time I got it right. You can steep this tea up to 10 minutes, and I highly suggest doing so. Not only did I let my tea sit and steep for 10 minutes, but I also added my tea to cold water, and let it come to a FULL boil before removing from the heat. After ten minutes I strained and then served. I prefer this tea hot, without sugar. It also makes a wonderful ice tea as well, either with or without sugar.

You can see chunks of raspberries and other fruits in this blend. I was very impressed by the aroma and it took me back to when I was a child and I grew up on the farm picking raspberries and strawberries. Raspberries dominate here, and I really enjoyed this cup. The scents of this tea scented my entire kitchen. Summer Romance was the perfect name for this summery blend. You can taste hints of strawberries and a slight undertone of vanilla. There is a slight acidic aftertaste, but it was mild compared to other teas of this nature. I didn't mind it at all.

You will know you have steeped your tea long enough when you get an almost deep rose color. Don't be afraid to let it steep for 10 minutes. This tea needs time for all of the flavors to really unfold. I really enjoyed this tea. So far TeaGschwendner's really seems to know their teas. I haven't disliked any of their teas so far.
