This Fair Trade Certified Organic jasmine green tea comes in little tea pyramids filled with bits and shavings of slightly minty scented jasmine green tea. I appreciated the extra space in the tea bags for the tea to move around in, and love that the bags are biodegradable as well. The dried leaves filled the bag while steeping, and danced around each other with a bit of room to spare. In the cup, the jasmine scent is undetectable until the tea is in my mouth, then I can taste the jasmine. It feels strong and brassy, not delicate yet not overwhelmingly perfumey either. This is strong, don't-beat-around-the-bush, black coffee version of jasmine tea. If Paul Bunyan preferred jasmine, this is what I would expect he would serve. I usually like my jasmine tea with a stronger aroma and a gentler taste, but this will would be worth checking out for people who like no-nonsense jasmine greens. This wouldn't be my first choice, but something I would appreciate in a large mug with a huge meal after a long day in the snow. Mountain man building a fire recommended but not required.
