As I said before Tea Gschwendner had 27 finalists at the World Tea Expo of which 4 were winners. I’m sure it was interesting watching the announcers try to pronounce Gschwender as they presented their prizes. If I was a judge I would select them every chance I got just for the entertainment value.
This company has a large selection of flavors. They say this white tea is from the best gardens in India. There were different sizes of leaves, some were almost whole and untwisted. Instead of pieces of strawberries there was one whole one in my sample.
The body was fuller then I had expected. There was an abundance of strawberry taste with a delicate white tea flavor. The tea was very refreshing, so I was convinced to make it into an iced tea even though whites usually don’t have a strong enough flavor to survive the icing. This one did have enough flavor and it was great to have on such a hot day, as today was.
