Carrot cake teas are another one of my favorite teas. Like the caramel tea, Necessiteas had my favorite carrot cake blend. Tea Guys gave them a run for their money again, but this time it’s a tie.
This blend has a wonderful spicy/sweet aroma that comes predominantly from cinnamon. The taste is slightly less spicy than the scent, making it taste like a mildly spiced carrot cake. Here’s the thing-it really does taste like carrot cake. It’s not just a vague resemblance. The flavor is full and the tea feels heavy in your mouth. It has honest-to-god, well-rounded “cakey” flavor. Vanilla undertones offer a creamy, sweet taste to the tea. Less noticeable, but still there is a light walnut flavor. All the flavors blend wonderfully.
If you enjoy carrot cake, you must try this tea. The Tea Guy website offers little sample packs that I love, so you can try whatever you want, at a round two dollars each.
