Numi’s Teaview Snapshot

This is an organic whole leaf black tea from India. Their website recommends this for tea drinkers who like their tea "smooth, pure and unflavored". I saw more broken bits than whole leaves but the description of the tea's flavor is right on. The scent of the steeping leaves is like plain black tea, only smoother, a touch sweeter, and more complex. I steeped my cup for three minutes and the result was strong, warm, and incredibly, silkily smooth. This is what I would serve to someone trying to make the transition from coffee to tea, or an over-anxious partner who could use another reason to pause and take a breath (I'm not thinking of anyone in particular...umm, no really). I'm not normally a black tea drinker, but this stuff is goooood. There's a touch of dryness that comes with the black tea territory, and no biting aftertaste. I'm hoarding this stuff.
