Thumbs up!"This is an interesting cup! The first taste of the tea was kinda apricot with a chocolate finish. However, at various stages the notes shuffled themselves. At one point it was rather vanilla and chocolate tasting with the apricot flavor barely noticeable. I would say the only note that was consistent was the chocolate finish."

summitvienne.jpg"How about a different kind of chocolate? No calories, no guilt - only flavor! WOW, can't beat that! This blend brings the flavors of Vienna together into an interesting combination with chocolate, apricot and vanilla. After sipping this tea, it will become an all time favorite." --- Summit Tea website.

So far I have had the opportunity to sample a couple of teas from Summit Tea, and have been pretty impressed by their black tea blends. I am a huge chocolate lover, er, snob. I am a little picky about my chocolate---I'll take one little piece of Godiva over an entire Hershey bar (or 3 of em for that matter). I believe that chocolate and tea should be a good marriage, but haven't had much success in terms of finding many with the taste of good chocolate. My favorite chocolate craving killer to date is The NecessiTeas Chocolate Coconut Lime with a splash of chocolate milk.

The aroma coming from sample package is indicative of the chocolate, apricot and vanilla ingredients. It smells pretty darn good. I sweetened my cup with just a touch of rock cane sugar to kick of the flavors a notch. This is an interesting cup! The first taste of the tea was kinda apricot with a chocolate finish. However, at various stages the notes shuffled themselves. At one point it was rather vanilla and chocolate tasting with the apricot flavor barely noticeable. I would say the only note that was consistent was the chocolate finish. At the end of the cup I added a splash of chocolate milk to see if that brought out the chocolate taste anymore, but I think I actually like this better sans milk.

Summit Teas brings us this cup from French tea master Dammann Freres, and I have to say it is quite good. I don't know that this is a big chocolate craving killer, but the flavors offered a level of complexity that I really enjoyed. I will definitely be purchasing some in the future.
