According to Rishi's website, this blend includes “Organic Cinnamon Plum is rich with currants, succulent hibiscus, hints of plum and accented with notes of cinnamon and naturally sweet licorice root." My sample is beautiful to look at with large pieces of all the ingredients creating what looks and smells like a lovely potpourri. The aroma leads me to believe that the tea was aptly named as the cinnamon and plum appear to be the main contributors.Once brewed, the tea is a clear, dark red that is very reminiscent of a light red wine. The taste is very pleasant in that the cinnamon and plum make for a warm, soothing and season appropriate cup. I was a bit surprised that the licorice was not more prevalent as it usually tends to be a bold addition. In this case, the licorice seemed to add the perfect touch of sweetness to tone down the tartness of the hibiscus. This is a drink that seems to be perfectly suited to adding a stick of cinnamon and sitting back to enjoy a good book or maybe even one of the holiday classics that are already beginning to show up on tv. This tea is organic and Rishi donates 25% of the profits to the Clean Water Fund, which is an especially nice gesture in this season of giving.
