Katie’s Teaview Snapshot
"This is the sort of tea that, while I can't guarantee everyone would like it, I would recommend everyone at least try it once in their life because I can't imagine you'll find anything like it."

The Teacup (Seattle) has created a tea that has everything I could want in a fruit tisane: big pieces of fruit, an uncommon flavour, and a tarrying (and creamy!) aftertaste. When I brewed my first cup of Turkish Lime, one important fact became extremely obvious: it didn't have any hibiscus. Don't get me wrong, I love hibiscus, but it seems like it is the "filler" ingredient that ends up in almost every fruit tisane. Sometimes it adds to the flavour and sometimes not, but it's usually there. I don't mind predictable teas, and I certainly have my fair share of berry flavoured fruit tisanes and simples greens in the cupboard, but sometimes I want something totally out of the ordinary.
The Teacup's Turkish Lime is nothing short of extraordinary. It took me a few sips to place the flavour, but after a bit I realised it tastes exactly like key lime pie. Or, more specifically, Yoplait's key lime pie flavoured yogurt, as I'm not sure I've ever had an actual peace of key lime pie. I can't say I want a piece of key lime pie every day of my life, but on occasion, it's just what I need, and that is how this tea comes across to me. I probably couldn't drink it every day, but it is so unique that nothing else could possibly substitute when I am in the mood for it.
This is the sort of tea that, while I can't guarantee everyone would like it, I would recommend everyone at least try it once in their life because I can't imagine you'll find anything like it.
