This is the tea that started my obsession with The NecessiTeas. I read about it on someones blog while drinking a spiced tea and thought that the ingredients in carrot cake would lend themselves to a flavorful tea. I found carrot cake teas on several sites and then started deciding where I wanted to order it from because I generally order at least 2-3 teas to make paying for shipping worth my while. The NecessiTeas had a number of other tea blends available that also seemed very decadent and there's a laundry list of them that I wanted to try. Ultimately, I decided to splurge and try a few of Linsey Manning's teas.The ingredients in Carrot Cake tea include: organic rooibos, honeybush, cinnamon, carrots, walnuts, coconut, maple crumble, and natural flavors. Her teas are sold in 4 oz tins and when I opened mine I was pleasantly greeted by a nice spicy aroma that truly smelled like carrot cake tastes!! This blend is FULL of pieces of the ingredients for the carrot cake and not just a few add-ins with a lot of rooibos and artificial flavors. I see tons of carrots, coconuts, nuts, etc.
When I finished preparing this I was greeted by a delicious spicy aroma and couldn't wait for it to cool so I could taste it. I have had this both sweetened with close to a tsp of sugar and sugarless, and it is good either way. But, for a truly decadent carrot cake experience, either use a tsp of sugar and a splash of milk/cream OR a splash of sweetened condensed milk. The addition of the sweetener and milk really add a creamy frosting component to this tea for me. Truly, if you put some tea and a piece of carrot cake into a food processor set on liquefy--this tea would be the result.

Carrot Cake tea is absolutely the best dessert tea to cross my lips to date. I also own (and love all of them) the caramel dipped apple, banana split, orange flower oolong, chocolate lime coconut, and had some of the coco la ven for breakfast. And, I just placed an order for a few others!! Highly recommend--a must try!
