Thumbs up!"The tea had a great flavor, high and bright, super fruity, warm and pleasantly sweet. The pomegranate does come out in the flavor. It's high and tangy, hanging a little over top of the overall flavors like a soprano solo."

I don't know if anyone has ever had an experience like this...you have a big bowl of granola, called something alluring like blueberry bonanza or something, and when you get down to brass tacks and start eating, you realize with a little bit of a letdown feeling that your idea of a bonanza and the granola makers idea of a bonanza are deeply out of synch with each other. You vow that next time you'll make your own granola and put a proper pint of berries in - and have a real bonanza.

Well, you won't feel that way about Tea Guys new offering, Pomegranate Pear (which I am currently unable to locate online at their website, but have heard that you can request for ordering). This is an amazing looking (not to mention smelling) tea. It's all fruit! And, it really is a bonanza! Let me list for you the ingredients...don't worry, it will sound more like poetry than a litany...Apples, rosehips, hibiscus, elderberries, ginger, pomegranate, pear, rosehip seeds, red currants, and natural flavors.

Tea Guys recommends a long steep for this brew, about 7 minutes. I would concur. Give it a nice long time to really bring out all the flavors. I let it steep closer to ten minutes, with piping hot water. I think the longer the steep the better. My first sip was a little like bubblegum, which I found alarming. Sometimes, a melange of flavors will blur a bit to me and leave me with sort of an overwhelmed palette. But I think it just took a moment to adjust to all the flavors. My subsequent sips (from a few cups!) were just delightful, and the bubblegum flavor disappeared. The tea had a great flavor, high and bright, super fruity, warm and pleasantly sweet. The pomegranate does come out in the flavor. It's high and tangy, hanging a little over top of the overall flavors like a soprano solo. Delicious tea, all around. It's wonderful hot on a cold night and would be heavenly chilled or on ice in the heat of summertime. I loved this tea, and I'm looking to place an order for some for myself and friends for the holidays.
