Thumbs up!"It's mildly minty with a gentle sweetness and hints of many other flavors that I can't quite put my finger on. All of the flavors make themselves known, but they all play nicely with each other, too."

summitsunset.jpgLately, I've been on an herbal kick. Pretty much anything herbal (as long as it's not heavy on the fruit) rocks my socks, and as such, I've been on the lookout for some new ones to try. Summit Tea's Summit Sunset blend had an interesting ingredient list, so it ended up on my list.

It looks like your average herbal blend, but with a bit of a twist: there's little bits of red somethings that look a bit like dried raspberry bits, though I don't think that's actually what they are after looking at the ingredients. It definitely smells different than your average herbal blend, too; distinctly minty, but sweetly. Specifically, it reminds me of the pink wintergreen lozenges. The brewed cup still smells minty, but it's more of natural mint. The chamomile also comes out quite a bit in the brewed cup, making for a nice chamomile/mint combo.

But how does it taste, you ask? Simply put, it reverts back to the lozenge-y flavor from the dried leaves, but it really isn't as simple as that. It's mildly minty with a gentle sweetness and hints of many other flavors that I can't quite put my finger on. All of the flavors make themselves known, but they all play nicely with each other, too.

Bottom Line: It's not your average blend, that's for sure. It's got plenty of interesting ingredients, and makes a good cuppa tea to boot. Unless it entirely doesn't appeal to you, I'd recommend giving it a try.
