Thumbs up!"The taste of the tea is more distinct and noticeable once it has cooled some. Maybe this is a personal preference as I find this true for most teas. Also, I have found that white teas as they cool off have sweetness to them."

necessiteas-strawberry-whit.jpgNecessiTeas Strawberry is a flavored white tea containing white tea, hibiscus, safflower, and natural strawberry flavor. Some fruit flavored white teas contain dried pieces of the fruit, yet none are found in this example. In this case it is the flavoring instead. A sniff of the dry tea does not produce a strong classic strawberry smell being partially hidden and subtle. To me the tea smells mostly like a classic white.
As I have mentioned before NecessiTeas ship in a nice round tin with the information label on the bottom. I like this tin and it is definitely reusable once the tea is finished.
Brewing:
The brewing instructions call for 5 ...œ 7 minute steeping time, which is a little too long for my personal taste. I think the white tea base starts getting a little bitter with those long brewing times. My preference for this tea is 3 ...œ 4 minutes, long enough to bring out the flavor while preventing the white tea from getting bitter.
Taste/Impressions:
This is a nice white tea. The strawberry is not dominant but helps add a mild and pleasant tone to the tea. Mild and light characterize the flavor and aroma. The flavors are there but do not jump out. I really think of this first as a white tea and then the flavorings. There are flavored teas I would not say that about. Since in those teas the flavoring is more dominant and noticeable than the white tea. Strawberry comes through more in the smell than taste.
As I mention regularly the tea has a better and more interesting flavor after it has cooled off some. The taste of the tea is more distinct and noticeable once it has cooled some. Maybe this is a personal preference as I find this true for most teas. Also, I have found that white teas as they cool off have sweetness to them. I like this.

Conclusion:
A nice tasting white tea with subtle strawberry flavor. The flavoring compliments the white tea nicely helping give it a mild quality. I recommend this tea.
