So far, I have only had great experiences with the teas I have sampled from Tea Guys. I respect their flavours and look forward to each of the new blends I try from this great company. This is actually a fact that works against this tea, but I'll say more on that in a bit. This blend is surprisingly complex with floral hints and just a slight smidgen of spiciness in the aftertaste. For a tropical tea boasting pineapple and papaya, it isn't as fruity as I would expect, and what fruity flavour there is has just a hint of artificiality, which makes the whole experience a bit off-putting. The flavours are subtle, complex, and a little difficult to understand, kind of like the English language.
Until now, I have had only excellent experiences with Tea Guys' teas, which has led to this blend being little more than disappointing. It doesn't even begin to do their name justice. If I had tried this one before the other Tea Guys teas, I may have been more impressed, but as it stands, Tropical Green just doesn't measure up to what I have come to expect from this company. Maybe I was a bit too hopeful, and this isn't a terrible tea by any means, but it is by far the least inspiring Tea Guys blend I have tried.
