Thumbs up!"This tea is very balanced in flavor. The white tea has nice tea flavor that provides a base for the fruit flavoring. The tea flavor does not get lost in the fruit."

ceylond-teas-white-peach-ap.jpgBackground:
This is the second tea from Ceylon I have sampled. This is a bagged tea. The aroma of dry is predominantly classic tea. The apricot and peach flavoring is barely a hint.

I tried searching their website to get more information about the teas in general and specifically the two sample teas. I still cannot find these particular white teas on the Ceylon website. This is an area that the company could improve upon. If you have a good product generally the information should be readily accessible.

Brewing:
I steeped the tea about 2 - 3 minutes with water that had just started to roil. Per my usual approach, I let the water stand for at least 30 seconds before steeping the tea.

Taste/Impressions:
After steeping there is a noticeable and wonderful fruit and sweet aroma to the tea. The warm/hot water clearly brings out the apricot and peach flavoring. It is very clear. I love apricots so it is no surprise that the aroma is appealing to me.

This tea is very balanced in flavor. The white tea has nice tea flavor that provides a base for the fruit flavoring. The tea flavor does not get lost in the fruit. I tried several cups of this sample. Sometimes the added flavor was more pronounced and other times it was subtler. This is probably an indication of how much our impressions can change from one moment to the next. Regardless, the tea also had nice hints of sweetness and fruit to it. The aftertaste was mildly sweet. Don't steep this tea too long or it becomes a bit harsh with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I would say 3 minutes tops. Also, this isn't a tea to use too much water with. There are some teas that I will try and "stretch" the tea for the amount of water. This is not
one that I recommend trying this with. I'd say use between six to eight ounces of water steeped for two and a half minutes.

Conclusion:
This is a very nice tasting white tea blend. With a wonderful aroma, there is a balanced flavor between tea and fruit flavors.
