I'm a huge fan of jasmine-scented tea, despite my usual aversion to floral teas. I've been searching for the perfect jasmine tea, one that has enough jasmine flavor to satisfy without any nasty side effects like bitterness (which I've come across in several green tea blends). This one serves the purpose well, but falls short of the "perfect" mark. The leaves smell very strongly of jasmine, which is perhaps my favorite part. They smell about as strong as I'd like the tea to taste, which of course usually means the tea doesn't taste nearly that strong. The silver needle is also easily detectable, which is nice change from the usual jasmine green tea, as the lightly sweet and fruity aroma of the white tea nicely complements the sweet scent of the jasmine.
The brewed tea is quite as delicious as the leaves, but it's on the upper end of jasmine teas I've tried. The white tea is dominant with the jasmine riding shotgun, so to speak. I would prefer the jasmine to be more prevalent, but it is stronger than most jasmine teas I've found. The white tea still pairs nicely with the jasmine, so it ain't all bad.
Bottom Line: A decent specimen of both white and jasmine teas; if you're looking a tea to fit one or both those requirements, it's worth a try.
